I am participating in the 1-cup Campaign with the LAPD Hollenbeck Police Activities League (Hollenbeck PAL) program and I am asking that you join me in this mission to help create hope and opportunities for inner city youth. The 1-Cup campaign video and details can be seen at http://www.1-cup.org . The funds raised will help operate crucial after-school programs and extra-curricular activities to keep our youth safe, off the streets, and motivated to succeed.

I would like to ask that you join my team and helping raise funds and asking your friends to join this cause. My team name is <<Fill in your team name>>. In the recent years there has been an increase in bullying, drug use, and juvenile delinquency as noted by the media, newspapers, and law enforcement reports. According to urbanstrategies.com the rising costs of incarcerating a juvenile has hit over $216,000(1) per year, much more than the cost of tuition and room & board at an Ivy League school. We cannot sit back and not act. Believe in our children and they will achieve beyond our expectations. Chastise them and they will succumb to negative influences around them. Let’s give them HOPE and positive OPPORTUNITIES!! Juvenile delinquency and underachievement IS preventable.
