Partners help make PAL UP a great learning experience for students, providing information, resources, educational paths, and opportunities!  PAL UP gives specials thanks to these great 2022 supporters, including: (1) Carpenters Union (Local 409 Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters) provided information on various careers represented by the union and potential internships for PAL-UP students, (2) The City of Los Angeles, Boyle Heights City Hall for use of the computer lab center allowing students to search for jobs, write resumes, apply for occupational education opportunities, and complete applicable tests and quizzes, (3) LAUSD Title 1 High Schools – Identified and referred students struggling educationally, who are not college-ready, and would benefit from the PAL-UP Program, (4) East Los Angeles Community College – hosted presentations on post-high school academia planning and certification programs, (5) East L.A. Skills Center – Provided guest speakers and information on the various vocational courses and assistance offered through their Skills Center; helped students to make-up high school credits through independent studies and helped them attain a high school diploma or GED; provided enrollment assistance in vocational education, trade certification/trade guidance to help students prepare for jobs/trades, and (6) Los Angeles Police and Fire Departments that hosted career presentations and required qualifications to become a part of the departments.
